Boise, ID - 10-23-09
We drove the previous day from Seattle to Idaho so that we could make it for the show that night. We got to the hotel in Boise around 12:30 in the morning. We instantly crashed, as we were very much sleep deprived! We then woke up in the morning and went to venue in our PJ's as we wanted to get in the front of the line. We got there, and of course we were first. It was freezing, of course we had to film ourselves doing the honor roll in front of the venue. The venue was called The Venue, legit, that was it's name. Not very original, but anyways. We hung out for awhile before Erin and I went back to the hotel for food and to get ready. We took forever... about three hours. Leanna and Megan left to get ready right as we got back in line. Awesome people behind us saved our spots. For awhile there were only 7 people in line. Then Steph, Court, and Val got there from Cali... they hung out with us for awhile. The Megan and Leanna came back and we continued to wait.
SOUNDCHECK
Finally soundcheck came around and we all got in. There were only about 11 people at the Boise Soundcheck! Before we were let in, we heard the gents doing their REAL soundcheck and doing their new song, "Great Expectations". Finally Kat let us all into soundcheck. They started off with a bit of the new song. It is so amazing, I can't even describe it. They then did 2 Rebels and Where Are You Now. Then they took some questions, I asked them what they thought of Balloon Boy, Andy said they miss some things while touring and only found out about it since it was a Trending Topic on Twitter. Erin then mentioned that there is a Balloon Boy costume, and Mike said "What does he go and get lost at the party or something?".... Also at soundcheck I asked Alex to do the Gayne Wetsky... Jay and Mike liked that as I had put him on the spot. The guys get a beat going, with Mike on the drums and Alex breaks it down for us! He went for a long time, I was surprised and even added a SHIMMY towards the end. He is so amazing, seriously, he had a huge smile on his face the whole time and loved it! At the end the guys couldn't figure out a song to do for the last one... I recommended doing a cover, and they decide to do "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. Jay sang it and it was really good. We started a new tradition as they did it at the other two soundcheck's we went to afterwards. Right as we were about to leave I gave Andy a pocket sized lint-roller. We had a bit of a joke about it in Portland and Erin and I had found one in Win-Co that day and thought it would be funny to give it to him. I gave it to him and he pointed and said right on, he remembered Portland... haha. Then I gave Mike the card game Uno, Cars edition that I had also found at Win-Co. I said that I hoped they could play it on the bus. Mike then said "It rhymes with my last name" and I said, "UNO BRUNO!" I then saw it on Mikes amp during Esmee's set... haha.

Video's from soundcheck:

Alex doing the Gayne Wetsky (upon my request)
Use Somebody cover, sung by Jay (I requested they sing a cover)
Mike telling us a pet-peeve of theirs
Two Rebels
We were then kicked back out into line. Court and Steph had saved our spot for us. It started to rain so everyone crowded under the overhang. We regulated the line and made sure we got in first since we were there at 10am and made sure everyone that waited with us got in after us... everyone was surprisingly chill. No line drama this time.
SHOW
No joke, the show was amazing as usual! Got sang at a few times, I mean we were front row again, this time is was between Mike and Andy... they recognized us and there WERE only 30 people there. A bunch of fan girls wanted our front row spots when we went to buy merch, luckily Steph and Court saved our spots well and refused to let us in! HA!

See You In The Dark (end)
Esmee sang at me a few times, we went crazy for us. She loves it when we rock out during her set! We had a blast!
For the gents show, the stage was TINY! They were crammed there... but it was to our advantage as they were all that closer to us! :) hehe They rocked it more than Portland and Seattle in my opinion.. even though there wasn't barely anyone there. I think it's awesome that they rock out no matter what, no matter how many people are there! It was a fun show! The sound was better, even though it was a tiny venue. This was my favorite show overall in terms of how close we were and how personal it was.... While waiting for the gents to come out and hangout I was able to chat with Mat-E and Mike from Esmee's band. They are really awesome and were so happy to take a pic with us! :)
FAN CLUB M&G
After the show they had Fan Club picture time. Turns out everyone got a pic with them, cool beans. Leeanna and I do a handhug picture together with them. I am by Alex as I usually never am... haha
HANGOUT M&G
In total I met them each twice... got 2 pics withe each of them, but only one with Jay. There were only 30 people total at the show, so that's why they hug out and chatted after the show! Here are the highlights from chatting with them:
-Alex went to sign my setlist that I had nabbed off the stage at the end of the show. Megan and I were talking to him about how at the Portland Acoustic show back in June some girl wanted him to sign something, her name was Kendra and how he spelled it wrong, with a C. So he asked how to spell my name, I spelled it for him "S-T-E-P-H" and he begins to write "Kendra"...He got the K and E and looked down, shook his head and walked away... He came back and showed it to me. He felt bad and I said he can salvage it! He did a great job of salvaging it and I asked him to put a heart on there to make up for it! Which, of course he did! I then get a normal pic with him.

-I asked Andy if he really got the tea in portland, he said they really did but that they didn't have a diffuser... He said it was a little sketch how I gave it to Kat. I said she thought it was weed... haha. I also almost said shit.. and Megan and Andy looked at each other. He said it wasn't like he hadn't cussed before or had alcohol. haha. I also mentioned that I hope he gets good use out of the lint-roller and hope they have fun playing Uno. To which he says "Br-Br-Bruno" trying to put mikes name and the game name together... Genius Andy, this is one of the many reason's why we love you!
-After Andy and I take our first (normal) pic, we were just standing around so I asked to see his tattoo. He said he wanted to fix it up a bit. Megan and I then compared our tattoo's with him. He told Leeanna to not get a tattoo unless she really know's what she wants.
-I told Mike that he had broken a tour rule, wearing leather to soundcheck. He replied that he makes the rules... haha
-I can't remember what I talked to Jay about the first time, but here is the pic I got with him! :)
-Then I went back to each gent to get hand hug pics... seriously, I fail so badly at the hand hugs... I am on it now, but in Boise, I was horrible... Alex and I just fail, Andy made a crazy face, and Mike looks like hes about to punch me in the jaw...

-I talk to Jay for a second time, he mentioned to Leeanna and I that there was an acoustic show the SLC the next morning. He then went out of his way to ask Brian, their body guard dude, for the details. We said we were gonna make it there for the acoustic show! He then mentioned there was a good chance of shows in Cali in Dec, but not to quote him on it. He then measured his hand with Leeanna's, it was cute.
We didn't stick around much after the gents left. We were SO SLEEPY! We go back to the hotel and I upload a few things and pass out since we had to drive to SLC the next day for the next show! eep
Overall it was a great show! I had a ton of fun, front row again, of course! haha. It was great hanging out with the guys. They are total crack up's. I never get tired of them!
