SLC, UT 10/24/09
This day was the BEST - MOST EPIC day of the entire trip! No joke!
So, we booked it over to SLC from Boise. We literally got 2.5 hours of sleep so that we could make it for the Acoustic show at 10am. We finally get to the store that they are playing at, we see Silverado.
STARBUCKS
We head into the store since we have to go to the bathroom. We walk by the Starbucks and see Alex sitting in there... we keep walking as we really have to go! We then go to the bathroom and decide to get coffee since were all super tired. We get into Starbucks and are waiting in line when Alex waved at us and Jason noticed that Leeanna didn't have her hair in braids. they asked how long she had been growing it out. Alex then said he wanted to cut it off and "borrow" some of her hair to make into a wig. They liked her Micheal Jackson shirt, Jason started singing Thriller
Starbucks chat highlights:
-After I ordered my coffee, I plopped down on the couch Alex was sitting on. I totally scared him and he scooted over... but then he realized I wasn't a creeper as I was like "I'm tired, I just want to sit down!"
-We talked about - missing school, missing a midterm. Jason asked me if that was like a standardized test. I said i'm a graphic design major and that it sort of is... Then Megan said to Alex that he looked really tired. He said he wasn't and that he could take a standardized test. Jay then asked what is an un-standardized test?
-We then mentioned that Erin drove all the way on a stick shift. Jay said "you drove a stick shift?" and then asked Alex if he could drive stick, he said he could but chooses not too.
-Mike and Andy came back, they gave Kat a group hug, it was super cute. they had Naked Juice, Leeanna thought it was Odwalla, Andy corrected her and said it was Naked juice, Mike said he prefered Nude Juice, Erin said that sounded classier.
-Mike said he found a sexy nurse costume but that they don't call it sexy here, they call it instant. Megan then said is it instant because you can get in and out of it easily? Mike said, pretty much
-Asked Andy if he went down the beer isle as it was huge, Andy asked if we had seen the Miller Lite cans that were camo colored.
-Mike started talking about vitamins and started signing outta here.
-At one point Sam and Anita came in and found us. Sam was so pumped to see us and said hi to us before even realizing Alex and Jason were there.
Then the fangirls came in and freaked out, the guys then put their walls up, took pics with them and left. They ruined our awesome moment!
ACOUSTIC SHOW
We were right in the front. They did 2 rebels, over you, and see you in the dark. We then got to hang out with them after
-Alex kissed me on the cheek... I asked if he would and he did. (it was originally Erin's idea... haha)
-Asked for a pic with Andy, he asked who should take it. I said him since he has long arms. so he grabs my camera, and takes a pic of me. I said no, i wanted one WITH him... so he laughs and says of course. I noticed he didn't have much lint on his jacket. He said the lint-roller was put in their "necessities" box with the batteries and that Kat had de-linted his jacket before the acoustic set... haha poor Kat.
-With Jason, I said I liked his feather in his hat. We had a cute group moment with Jason, we did a group hug. got a pic with him... he was wearing a where the wild things are shirt, we talked about that, that i needed to see it and that it was my fave book as a kid...
-As I came over to Mike he was singing a bit of Heartless, as it was playing. I said that was great and that he should do it at soundcheck that evening. He said it was a possibility. I then got a pic with him.
-Renata had given the gents their dog tags, which turned out amazing. They loved them. I asked Mike to see what it said... he showed me and I said it was such a great present! He agreed.
-I then went back to alex and asked to get a gangsta pic with him, he said of course! total of 3 pics with alex from acoustic set.
-got another pic with jason... doing peace sign
-Renata gave each gent a picture that we had printed and put our names on it. I was by Andy and asked if he could say my last name. I think he didn't know which one was me, so he looked over the entire picture and finally came to me... he said it correctly then said that was a whole lot of german. He said his last name was german too. He then decided to say my last name with a thick german accent... haha. He said his last name "Schmidt" is german as well. I told him us german's can unite... haha
Brian then said that they were going to do a radio interview. He said it would be cool to go over and show our support. So, we decided to go to the radio to just say hi as they walked in and out.

PRIVATE IN-STUDIO RADIO PERFORMANCE/INTERVIEW
We hung outside for awhile... lying on the sidewalk on top of each other.... random but fun. As we were waiting the DJ came out and asked us if we were the groupies... we said sort of and told him our story of traveling from Portland to Seattle to Boise and etc for the shows. He thought it was awesome. The gents showed up around noon and the DJ asked if we wanted to come into the studio for the interview. OF COURSE we did! it was great and we weren't even expecting it!
So we get up there and they do the interview. The DJ called us their Entourage, which they agree on! Brian said it was private interview and that normally no fans were allowed in. the DJ said that things like that never happen, Mike said that we are very lucky. The DJ then said that if they weren't comfortable with us in there we could leave. Mike said jokingly that we needed to leave. We then thanked them so much for allowing us to be in there. They did the interview and did an acoustic version of Over You. They let us sing along on the last chorus.
We all walk out the door and the guys are all walking together in line. I cut off Alex (he was last). I stop and try to let him through and he stops and says for me to go first. I thank him and say he is a true gentlemen. He then decided to let everyone else out before him AW. We all get outside and chat for a minute, but they had to leave. I got more hugs. We then headed over to the venue to hang out. We were the second group in line, after about 3 people.
SOUNDCHECK
We were front row center. They loved it that we were there again. Alex gave Leeanna and I lots of love during their songs since he recognized us and such! I asked them do do heartless, mike seemed hesitant, I said PLEASE, you were humming it at the acoustic show this morning. Jay thought I was saying they performed it... Mike gave me a "so what" look with a shrug. They ended up performing it for us and it was obvious they hadn't done it in awhile as Mike had to remember the words
-Jason did Use Somebody again. Seriously, it's a tradition now, thanks to me saying they should do a cover! woop woop!
-Esmee's guitarist Aarom came on stage as mike went to drums and Alex to keys to jam out... it was awesome. I LOVE their jam they do... we rocked out!

Great Expectations (Almost Full)
SHOW
So of course the show was amazing. We got a lot of love from the guys as they remembered us. Jason loved Leeanna... Alex pointed at us and gave us a bit of a shout out... while Mike was talking about getting up early before Here Comes Trouble. Alex held up 7 fingers (there are seven of us in our group) then 3 fingers (we got up ant 3am to get there in time for the acoustic show) and then 2 and 3 fingers upside down for AM... total shoutout to us in a way! mmhhmm. The lighting and sound was great! Stage was a bit high, but it was legit. David Archuleta showed up at the show. All the fan girls saw and went after him... in the middle of the gents performing. PSH. dumb asses. Anyways, we rocked out in the front row. Leeanna and I pointed at Alex during Over You, he loved it and pointed and smiled back at us over n over again. love him!

End of Show (Mike jump off Drum)
FANCLUB M&G
After the show we did our fan club meet and greet pics then got to the end of the line for the merch meet and greet. I didn't want to do anything crazy, so I just went for a normal pic since it was our "last one..." haha or so we all thought.
MERCH M&G
We did a big group pic with our sign, Honor Society's Entourage sign on the white board. Sam gave it to Andy to hold and he said he approved... we took the pic and it was amazing. We hugged em all before our own pic saying we were gonna miss them and before the group pic. Before the group pic Jay was "drumming" on Alex's back. I broke it down in front of em, was dancing, and said it sounded good. Jay said that leather sounds good. I then gave them all hugs. I was all sad when I saw them, giving them hugs. As it was supposed to be our last show. Andy said it wasn't goodbye, it was see you later. Mike was so thankful we had come all the way here and said not to cry. And took my picture.
HONOR ROLLING WITH HONOR SOCIETY
Then Brian and the venue staff kicked everyone out. We had asked Brian earlier at the acoustic show and at the radio station if we could honor roll with the gents. Brian said that after the show we could.
So, as everyone was kicked out, we got to honor roll with the gents as Anita filmed it. All the teenies were standing outside the doors WIDE EYED as we got to do it with the gents! It was a win in the sense we got to do it but a FAIL as we all went different ways... haha. As I was honor rolling, I looked out the window and saw Steph, Court, and Val and all the Cali girls outside dancing like crazies! They cracked me up... and yeah I guess I messed up a bit because I was laughing at them dancing crazy! haha.
We then all hugged them goodbye as we thought that was our last show. We then went outside the venue and watched as the gents played with a nerf football Anita had given them... they were just chillin' inside! Andy then came back out with some things Sam had asked them to sign and ran back inside... the girls just looked on... probably jealous haha... We then ended our night by going out to dinner at a waffle house before going back to Anita and Sam's to play rock band and chat about our day. We took a few shots and taught Anita how to honor roll. It was fun. Sam and Leeanna were really good at imitating Alex while playing the Rock Band drums :D. It was so much fun! We spent the entire next day at their place as we had decided right after the show, at the waffle house, that we were going to surprise the gents in Denver.
