My Honor Society Vegas Experience, with special guests: The Jonas BrothersWel

Welcome to another Honor Society Anonymous meeting. I apologize for not having weekly meetings, but we have all been busy with our lives, and working towards a cure has taken second place to our lives (ya know, school, work, friends)... Anyways, we will be back this week with multiple meeting as our cure is near! In anticipation for the trip to commence, here is my Honor Society Vegas Experience. And please, join with me in welcoming our special guests, the Jonas Brothers!

Alrighty, so we woke up a bit late for our last day in Vegas, as we had been out LATE the night before... ya know doing the Vegas thing... drinking. haha We get up, shower, get ready and ride the tram over to Mandalay Bay. It took us FOREVER to figure out where the place was to get our wristbands. We had found out the day before that the Gents were going to perform at Mandalay Bay Beach in place of the cancelled FMC show and that it was free to all the people that had previously bought tickets for the FMC show. Anyways, we finally get there and are told that we have to wait an hour to get the wristbands. We decide to start our own line. While waiting Hannah Hylen, who is going to most of the JB shows this summer with her mom, came over and started talking to our new friend Sam, who was in line with us. I can't believe Hannah is in front of me. I ask for a picture, which she happily did, and chat a bit with her. Find out that she isn't going to the pool party show. Sad Day. Anyways, the line quickly gets longer and 1pm rolls around and we get our wristbands and head to the pool. We get in there and no joke, that pool is amazing! It is huge and has its own wave pool. The stage is surrounded by water... the wave pool on the right and then a shallow spot on the left where we stood for the show. We waited around for a bit and hung out with some people that we had met while standing in line. Eventually once it gets close to 2pm (when the show was supposed to start) and we decide to move into the water to watch the show. There were hotel guests that were sitting in the water by the stage that got pissed because we were standing... honestly, it's a concert. If you want to see, stand up or else get over it. They didn't even know who Honor Society was. They were just butt-hurt. Oh well. Anyways, the guys finally come on stage, a bit late, but I guess there were issues setting stuff up on stage. They played an awesome set of “Over You”, “Two Rebels”, “Where Are You Now”, “Nobody Has To Know” and “See You In The Dark”. Michael looked over at Erin the WHOLE show... I think because she was wearing a bright yellow shirt.... but she got some great pics, I just filmed the entire show. :) Right at the end of the show, Jason threw his pick out to the crowd... somehow no one caught it. It was floating around right by my feet and I saw some girl bend down to get it. So of course, wanting that pick, I stomp on it so that no one else could get it then bend down and pick it up! Thanks Jason for the pick!! :) First glimpse of the Gents: Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket After the show it was announced that the guys were gonna come out to the pool and hangout for a bit. Sadly, they didn't swim at all. We first went over to Gio as all the guys had tons of fans around them. We chatted a bit with him, told him our story about coming from Seattle to see the Gents. He remembered Erin as Ta-Compton.. lol. We then saw our opportunity to say hi to Alex. The boy looked SO TIRED. Poor guy! He was kinda shy though... I don't know if it was from being tired or what, but he wasn't all that talkative. We told him we came from Seattle to see them, he was happy we had done that. He was wearing a P-Town shirt, and coming from Oregon, I automatically thought it was Portland. lol. But it isn't. I wanna say it was a Pittsburgh shirt, but I honestly don't know. He was the only gent wearing shorts, which was smart as it was over 100 degrees out... He also was wearing these suede, blue, boots... which I thought were awesome, although they didn't go with his outfit. lol I told him I liked his shoes, he said Thanks :) While talking to Alex, I met (sort of) Kimo, who runs a Michael Bruno fansite! Photobucket Alex and I: Photobucket After chatting with Alex, we moved over the Andrew. We told him how we had come from Seattle to see them and he was amazed by that. I told him that one of my friends hadn't met them and wanted to come. I asked him if he would do a video for her, which he did. He said that he was SO CLOSE to jumping in the pool with his clothes on! lol. It was so hot out, and when we got pics with him, he was drenched in sweat! Erin and I each got a pic alone with Andrew, then got one together as well. He was super nice. Andrew and I :) Photobucket Erin, Andrew, and I :D Photobucket After Andrew, we made our way to Michael who had had a crowd around him the whole time. He was super nice and so amazed that we had come from Seattle! He was happy that they were able to put on another show in place of the cancelled FMC show! He looked a bit tired as well and said that they had had a long trip from the Bahamas to Vegas. Michael and I (love his smile... so funny!) Photobucket Photobucket Last up was Jason. He was talking to a couple girls who had given him a polaroid camera as a gift! There was one pic left and he said they HAD to take it together! He was so happy about the camera. We jumped in on their conversation and started chatting. We talked with him the longest out of all the guys... maybe with the exception of Gio. haha. He was amazed and so happy that we were able to come from Seattle to see them. We told him how we had gotten our plane tix and then 2 days later the FMC show was cancelled and how happy we were that they did the pool part show in place of that. He was sincere in saying that he was happy they were able to do the show as well and how happy he was that he was able to hang out with us! I thanked him for the pick :) As he was talking to other people I just stand there and take pictures of him... He realized that he was posing and that this was a bit awkward... haha as I wasn't really talking, just standing 2 feet from him, taking pictures... We asked how the trip from the Bahama's was, and he said it was long and that they didn't have their luggage. I said it was too bad it was lost, and at the same time as Erin, he said he likes to think of it as “misplaced”... lol. He likes to think positive! Anyways, we then get pics with Jason... Me and Jason: Photobucket Jason “posing” lol Photobucket Afterwards I decided we should get a video from Michael for our other friend who was going to come on the trip with us, but couldn't... unfortunately at that moment Ned, their tour manager, was rounding them up for they had to leave. Me and Erin decide to talk to Gio and see if we can get one last pic. He asked if we were going to the show that night, we said no, as we didn't have tickets yet. He then motions for Michael and Jason to come over and get a picture for the “tacoma girls” as he put it. They come over and there is a bit of confusion with Andrew and Alex. Gio gets them to come over telling them it is for a picture with the “tacoma girls”. Love that I am known as one of the tacoma girls even though I am not from Tacoma. haha. We get a pic with them and thank them once again for doing the show that day. Michael said that they were so happy that we came so far to see them! Turns out we were the ONLY people to get a picture with the whole band! I feel so lucky! I see you there Ned, all creepin' in the back! (Seriously, he NEVER takes pics with people....) Photobucket Sadly, the Gents had to leave. Erin and I then decide to go check out the Verizon bus and see if we can spot Clifford. Fortunately, after hiking out to the far reaches of the Mandalay Bay parking lots, we find the buses and were told by a Verizon guy that we can take pics of the buses. Me and Clifford! Photobucket Pool Party Videos: Over You Two Rebels Where Are You Now Nobody Has To Know See You In The Dark (I was honor rolling during the video. It is hard to do in the pool!) Andrew's video for my friend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlvZ3RrG4x0 M&G Hangout Crowd After seeing the buses, we find out that Verizon is setting up right in front of the Box Office. So we book it over there so that we can try and win M&G passes for the nights show. We meet up with Sam and her mom who was chatting with Hannah Hylen. We say hello and chat with them and Hannah's mom Andrea again. We meet Hannah's friend Rosie, who is the Wonder Girls street team leader. We all then decide to get in on the Honor Roll contest. After a bit, and honor rolling we all win passes to meet the guys after their opening set! YAY. Ok, so Erin and I still didn't have tickets for the show. Me, Hannah Hylen, Andrea Hylen, Erin before the JB show Photobucket So we figured, we have meet and greets, might as well get tickets for the show! We get to the box office and the girl working there was trying to sell us 30 level seats for the same price as 100 level.. UH NO WAY. She said that that was all she had left... She goes back and checks again and says there are some 119 seats. We say, we will take them. A few mins later, she comes back and says she can't access them. We say we will take the 300 level after we realize that they are 70 dollars... We ask the guy that was ringing us up to get us as close to the center as possible. He finds 2 seats together, section 118 for us! SCORE! We got 2 seats together, sec. 118, an hour and a half before the show! We get our tickets and go back and chat with Hannah, Andrea, and Rosie for awhile. Hannah's mom Andrea chatted with Johnny Wright for a bit while Hannah, Rosie, Erin, and I sat down and ate some cheetos. We hadn't eaten all day! Then before we know it, there is a ton of screaming and a mob as girls run towards where they let us in... Evidently the Jonas Brothers had their meet and greet in the lobby... and the girls saw them.. We decide to stand up and join in the mob so that we didn't get trampled. After waiting there with Sam and her mom for awhile, we finally get in and get to our seats. Our seats... 2 rows from the floor, one sec over from center! AMAZING! Photobucket After a bit, Honor Society comes out for their set. They were amazing as always! My camera wasn't working so great, and didn't like Andrew (tear). I think his spotlight was a bit bright. But I had success recording it! Over You Two Rebels Where Are You Now Full Moon Crazy Band Intro's See You In The Dark See You In The Dark (Alex layback while playing drums...) After their set, we book it out to the Meet and Greet. We meet up with Rosie again and chat while in line. The room that the M&G was held in was the Rock and Roll Room... RIGHT ON! lol We were at the end so by the time we got to the Gents, they weren't letting us hug them. Erin and I said that we didn't know each other... which we obviously did. The Verizon guy let us take separate pics. Erin went first. When I got up there they recognized me and said thanks again for coming from Seattle to see them! Kat told Erin, really loud, to wait in the hall for her friend (meaning me) while I was taking my pic. I get my pic with the guys and hug Michael again. I leave and Kat gives me my signed picture. We are in the doorway and we see Gio again. We ask for a pic with him as Kat pouts and says no one wants a pic with me. After we get our pic with Gio, we had to take two as he thought Kat was cutting him off in the first one, I ask Kat if we can get a pic with her. She says of course, and I ask Gio to take the pic for us. BAHAHA. So, he takes it upside down! THANKS GIO! Rock and Roll Room Photobucket Erin, Gio, and I Take One Photobucket Take Two Photobucket Kat and Us (upside down, how Gio took it. lol) Photobucket We then make it back up for the Jonas Brothers set. It was amazing as usual! It was so touching when Joe pulled a little girl on stage and walked around holding her! AWE. AGAIN, my camera died halfway through the show. I think it was due to the fact that I had filmed ALL of Honor Society's songs earlier in the day and opening. Oh well. I filmed on my phone while pretending to text as the usher ladies were bitches and didn't want anyone to film. PSH. They even told Erin not to film, and she never even did. Just took pictures. Her camera LOVED the stage. LOVED JOE. haha Anywho, the show was amazing. We got to see Garbo and Christa... they came to our side of the stage. Oh yeah, and we got SLAMMED with foam. Well I did. They were coming round to us and Erin ducked down to shield her camera so it didn't get ruined... I suppose Joe saw that and aimed right for us! Me, I was pumped that Joe and Kev were RIGHT ABOVE ME! Yeah I got hammered smack in the face. THANKS JOE. Love ya babe! It was so awesome though. I got hit the hardest in our section by far. It was so sweet! (although it was sticky... hah) Photobucket Photobucket After the show we tried to go to the Gents Mech signing, but were told that it was only for people that pre-ordered their CD. I had already done it, so we couldn't. We went to as Kat if she could get us into the signing, but she couldn't as they guys had to be out of the venue at 11:30 so they could get on the road for Cali. Sad Day. Anyways, it was an amazing day!
